Ruaha National Park
Ruaha is Tanzania’s second largest national park and is home to the largest elephants population in the country. At 12,950 square km, this vast and remote park is slightly smaller than Serengeti and boasts of one of the most exciting visual treats, with its topography of spectacular deep Gorges, Mountain Ranges and swirling Rapids. It is a pristine paradise.
The Great Ruaha River is the lifeline of the Park supporting a wide range of wildlife such as elephants, lions, buffalos, Grants gazelles, cheetahs as well as Ostrich. There are more than 400 species of birds in the park meaning that it is also an ornithologists’ paradise.
